

Henry Joseph Morris, aged 99, passed away on July 27, 2024, in Naperville, IL. Born on July 2, 1925, Henry led a distinguished life marked by his pioneering contributions to the fields of chemical engineering and early computer technology.
His intellectual pursuits were not confined to his career; he was an avid reader with a deep interest in history, economics, and politics.
Beyond his professional and academic interests, Henry was known for his love of sports and travel. A passionate New York Giants fan, he also enjoyed playing tennis and took pleasure in traveling the world with his beloved wife, Ruth.
Henry is survived by a loving family, including his daughter Shirin Morris, his son David Morris, daughter-in-law Deborah, grandchildren Jacob, Tara, Molly, Emily, and Jon, and great-grandchildren Emelia and Rosalie. He also leaves behind nieces Robin, Lynn, and Susan. He was preceded in death by his wife Ruth, his parents Helen and Sam, his brother Victor, and his grandchild Sam.
A graveside service will be held at Naperville Cemetery, 705 S Washington St, Naperville, IL 60540, at 12 Noon. Arrangements are under the care of Weinstein and Piser Funeral Home. Shiva will follow at the family's home.
