Howard Burton Pitrack of Northbrook, IL passed away peacefully December 29, 2020 surrounded by family after a long and valiant battle with progressive supranuclear palsy. Survived by his beloved wife Deborah (nee Boyell), brother Norman, sister Judy, son Justin (Stephanie), daughter Jacqueline (Mario) Greco, cherished grandchildren Logan, Stevie and Luca, and dearest friend Pastora. Born June 8, 1948 to Leo Pitrack and the late Shirley (nee Rosenberg) Pitrack. Raised in the Albany Park neighborhood of Chicago before moving to Skokie during his childhood, Howard graduated from Niles North H.S. and received his B.A. and J.D. from DePaul University. A lifelong sole legal practitioner, Howard helped countless clients and was revered for his passion and zealous advocacy on behalf of anyone who asked for his help. The enjoyment he received from helping others was only surpassed by his love for his family and his lifelong pursuit of fresh snow, enormous muskies and spending time in his favorite place on Earth, Aspen, Colorado. His family is eternally grateful for the care he received from Emmanuel Rodriguez, the staff at Glenview Terrace, and Suncrest.
Howard was laid to rest on December 31, 2020 in a private ceremony. A fitting and joyous celebration of Howard's life will be held at a later date when it is safe to be together.
