Ida Sondheimer, nee Nerenberg, 98. Beloved wife of the late Joseph; devoted mother of David (Terri Hayes), Dr. Stuart (Bonnie Lucas), and Richard (Jane Rissman) Sondheimer; loving grandmother of Jonathan, Scott (Alli), Steve (Michael), Melissa (Aaron), Stacey (Marc), Dana (Chris), Peter (Catherine), Claire (Ben), Jillian (Kevin), and Elizabeth; proud great-grandmother of ten; caring sister of Dorothy (late Dr. Herman) Watenmaker, the late Selma (late Irving) Stokols and the late Eli (late Charlotte) Brent; cherished aunt of many. Ida was an avid gardener and talented in Ikebana. She was a passionate supporter of the arts, especially the Chicago Symphony Orchestra - she was a docent for the CSO in Chicago Public Schools. She will be deeply missed by all whose lives she touched.
