Born on January 19, 1936, in Chicago, James lived a long and full life marked by devotion to his family and a deep love of the water. Known for his time as a boat captain, he had a passion for the open lake and the freedom that came with it. Whether navigating the waters or guiding his family through life’s challenges, James was always steady at the helm.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Bobbi; his children Mike (Masami), Mary-Jo (Donny), Matt (Ines), and Melissa (Rick); his grandchildren Alec, Brent, Joey, Jimmy (Stephanie), Nathan, Raymond, and Mia; and his great-grandchildren Bella and Emily. James’ legacy lives on in the memories and hearts of those who loved him.
A funeral service will be held Monday at 11:00 a.m. at Memorial Park Cemetery, 9900 Gross Point Rd, Skokie, IL 60076.
