Joseph “Yossi” Katz, 87, passed away on March 7, 2025 after a long illness. He was the beloved husband of the late Cheryl (nee Light), and later the late Rosagitta Podrovsky; cherished father of Benjamin (Sara); devoted grandfather of Zachary; and dear uncle of Devorah, Mark, and the late Evan.
Yossi will be remembered for his strong opinions, sense of humor, and love of a good deal. Funeral service will be held Wednesday, March 12 at 2:30 PM with Shiva immediately following until 7:30 PM at Weinstein & Piser Funeral Home, 111 Skokie Blvd, Wilmette, IL 60091. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Friends of Israel Disabled Veterans are appreciated.
