Lester “Les” Bernfeld, 95. Beloved husband for 74 years to Shirley, nee Cagan; devoted father of Lynn (Richard Wolk) Komessar and Jay (Julie) Bernfeld; cherished grandfather of Michael (Renee Callahan) Komessar, Rachel (Brian) Singer, Brian Bernfeld, and Allie Komessar; proud great-grandfather of Madeline, Sydney, Beckett, Ivy, Layla, Sebastian, and Miles. Les was a self-made man, an avid golfer, world traveler, cruiser of the seas, and lover of a good time with family and friends. He will be deeply missed.
Friends and family will gather for a funeral service on Thursday, July 13th, 2023 at 11 AM at Weinstein & Piser Funeral Home, 111 Skokie Boulevard, Wilmette, Illinois. Interment Memorial Park.
