Lois was born on February 20, 1934, and she was raised at 3530 North Lake Shore Drive. She loved the Cubs, and her favorite Cubs player was Hank Sauer. Lois danced on the Dave Garroway Show in a production number in which Mel Torme sang. Lois graduated from Senn High School, and she received her college degree from Northwestern University, where she majored in Speech and Diction. Lois was a proud member of the school's chapter of the Sigma Delta Tau Sorority, where she formed and maintained lifelong friendships with many of her sorority sisters. Every spring, Lois attended The Waa-Mu Show, Northwestern University's annual student produced musical, a tradition which continued for the remainder of her life. Lois instilled a great passion for the arts in all four of her children, and she loved attending Broadway musicals and plays, the ballet, the symphony, and all of the shows at New Trier East High School in which her children performed. Lois always insisted on hosting the cast parties for those productions at her home. Lois loved going to the race track to watch her family's Thoroughbred horses compete, and she attended the Kentucky Derby. Lois knew all 50 of the United States Capitals by heart, and she could recite from memory all 50 states in alphabetical order in approximately 39 seconds. Lois was a consistently generous and thoughtful person, and she had an incredibly sweet disposition. Lois could never do enough for those whom she loved, and the unconditional love she showed for her family was awe inspiring. Lois will always be in our hearts, we will think of her every day, and we will miss her forever. Funeral Services are private, but you can access the service online.
