

Raisa was born in Moldova, USSR on May 30, 1939. When she was 11, her family relocated to Riga, Latvia where she resided until 1988 belofe immigrating to the US.
Raisa's greatest passions in life were her family and her career.
In 1961, Raisa married Boris Klevitsky who was her husband for over 60 years. Raisa and Boris have 2 children, Gregory and Marina, and 3 granddaughters (Rita, Kelly, and Tori).
At the age of 12, witnessing the deadly illness of the neighbor's child, Raisa was determined to become a medical doctor / pediatrician. She went on to have a successful 26 year career as a pediatrician in Riga, Latvia, and was loved and adored by her colleagues and patients. At the end of 1988, Boris and Raisa and the family immigrated to the United States where they resided in Indianapolis, Indiana, Cincinnati, Ohio and Chicago, IL areas throughout the years. After moving to Cincinnati, Raisa had a successful career as a research assistant working at Cincinnati Children's Hospital where she continued to impact the lives of children researching cures for various heart conditions in kids until her retirement in 2007.
After retirement, Raisa and Boris relocated to Skokie, IL where Raisa resided until her passing.
