Richard passed away at the age of 93 and was a lifelong Evanston resident. He received an undergraduate degree from Northwestern University Kellogg School of Business and an MBA from the University of Chicago. An avid sports fan, he followed the Northwestern Wildcats, Chicago Cubs and the Chicago Bears. Dick was quite popular during the football season managing a football pool that kept everyone interested in the games throughout the season.
Richard was a generous individual who was always willing to lend a helping hand. Both he and his wife Jean mentored foreign Northwestern students throughout the years, with the goal of making the students feel welcome and comfortable in their new surroundings. He is predeceased by his wife of 56 years and best friend, Jean Doub.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a charity of choice in his name. Services are private.
