Apologies for the late response, I work at Trulee my name is Opal, Ruth was always so sweet to me and reminded me of my great grandmother. She was witty, fun, and despite me being just an employee, she always greeted me with love and was interested in me and my career in fashion. I’m glad i had the privilege to know her. Sending my love.

I knew Ruth at the Skokie Hospital, where she worked in the post anesthesia care unit for many years, even after retirement she came back part time as a volunteer until the covid outbreak.
Everyone loved Ruth!  Not only she’s excellent in her job, she took a keen interest in people, always engaging, supportive and generous with her time.   We shared love of opera and had many nice conversations, I always enjoyed listening to the story of her travels and appreciated her words of wisdom.
I know Ruth took great pride and joy in her family, my deepest condolences to you!!

I’m very sorry for the loss of the family. Ruth was an amazing person, and I always looked forward to our annual visits to service her HVAC equipment. She was by far one of my favorite customers, and I will always value the time I got to spend with her. Her neshama should have an Aliyah in shemayim!

There is never enough words to express the loss of a mom and your mom was so outstanding loving and has to be praised for the great job she did in her life  Not only raising you kids, surviving the loss of
a child but her giving  of her  loving soul to the family  her friends and 
to those who crossed her path. We give you our very deepest condolences dear Angela and Scott. We love you very much please know we are always here for you.

Some people find their way into your life.  And you, into theirs.  Meeting Scott's mom Ruth years ago was an instant 'like' and allowed us to feel part of the Roos family, with Ruth as the Matriarch.   

Being in Ruth's presence was always a fun & meaningful experience.  Her love was deep for Scott's wife, Angela, and that love was infused through Ruth's entire family,  filling the room with meaningful conversations, heartfelt memories, and a sense of purposeful dialogue.  She lived a great life at all odds,  and will be forever grateful for her sharing a piece of it with Randy and me.

I want to extend my condolences to your family, I got the pleasure of working with Ruth, she made me laugh, she was very outspoken person. I enjoy her company so much and the pleasure of meeting most of her family who lover her so much. She is in a better place and will keep looking over all of us. Dear Scott,Sherry and family

Nichiren Shoshu believers offer toba memorial tablets for the benefit of the deceased. The word “toba” is Japanese for the word stupa in Sanskrit. The original form of a stupa in ancient India was that of a burial mound. Many different forms of stupas developed over the years in both India and China. The five-story pagoda is one of the most commonly known forms of a stupa.

In Nichiren Shoshu, the toba memorial tablet also takes the form of five levels. The five levels signify the five elements of earth, water, fire, wind, and space. The bottom level of the toba is shaped like a square. This represents earth. The second level is in the shape of a circle, representing water. The third level, denoting fire, is a triangle. The fourth level, in the shape of a semicircle represents wind. At the top of the toba is the level representing space or ku. It is shaped like a jewel signifying the “treasure of fulfillment.” Nichiren Daishonin taught that all phenomena in the universe are composed of these five elements. This, of course, includes the human body.  Therefore, the toba signifies the body of the deceased.

My family will be offering Toba at our Nichiren Shoshu Buddhism Temple Myosenji in Silver Spring MD Every 7 days for 49 days. It takes 49 days for Ruth to be reborn in her next life. We will be praying for her peaceful transition into her rebirth. Also for her true happiness in her next life. We will be doing this starting Sunday February 2 2025. Our deepest condolences to you and Shari and entire family family. There are many wonderful memories of Aunt Ruth that I cherish. I also recognize her compassion for others. I have always loved her and appreciate her.
