

Stanton Paul Zelznick, 94, passed away peacefully at home on August 6th, 2024. He was born on the Northside of Chicago. The son of the late Charles Zelznick and Dorothy Zelznick; brother to Inez Yablong Zelznick. He graduated from the Wharton school at University of Pennsylvania. Stanton was drafted in the Korean War while attending Colombia Law School. After his service, he came back to Chicago and graduated from John Marshall Law School. He practiced tax law until his late 80's. He wa s apilot and with his plane flew all over the United States. With his love of food, he started a bouillabaisse company selling at Whole Foods. History buff, avid reader and Operas were also his loves.
He cherished his friendships fiercely. Joe (Tracy) Curcio was like a brother to him, always playing pranks on each other. Mary and Jack Lusak, Nancy Olfesky, Barbara Schechter, Jill, Mark, Hannah, and Brooke Kolker, John Pallohusky, and Michael Goldberg and many more were the family he made for himself. Paul led a full life, and was loved by many.
Graveside service Friday, August 9, 10AM at Memorial Park Cemetery, 9900 Gross Point Rd, Skokie, IL 60076. Immediately following the service, the family will be having shiva at Bryn Mawr Country Club, 6600 N Crawford Ave, Lincolnwood, IL 60712.
