Suzanne Friedman, nee Kaufman of Glencoe. Beloved wife of Morton Friedman for 53 years. Dear mother of Michael (Kathy) Friedman, Beth (Ed) Staehlin and John (Janet) Friedman. Adoring grandmother of Nicole, Charlie and Kyle Staehlin, and Becca, Jordan and Daniel Friedman. Dear sister of Judith (Richard) Klaskin. Fond sister-in-law of Sherwin and Sondra Friedman. Sue was a sunday school teacher at Am Shalom for 20 years and was previously a preschool and third grade teacher. Sue always had kind words for people and had a way of bringing out the best in others. She was deeply committed to her family, to the community, and to her students at the temple. She was also an avid bridge player and a bridge Life Master. She will be missed by the community and at the local bridge games both here and in New York where she played with her daughter Beth. Service is Tuesday 10 a.m. at Am Shalom 840 Vernon Avenue, Glencoe. Internment Westlawn Cemetery.
