Thomas R Schwendau

He was born in Chicago, Illinois on April 19, 1941. He had a lifelong interest and career in real estate and property management.

He is survived by his sons Michael Schwendau (Lynnette Wisniewski); Eric Schwendau; his grandson Zachary Schwendau (son of Michael and Lynnette); and his dear friend and companion, Dona Porter. He is also survived by his former wife Carol [nee Graeffen] Dinsmore (Mike) loving mother of Michael Schwendau; his sister Carol [nee Schwendau] Madsen (late Willard); his cousin Robert Schwendau and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his beloved wife Jeanette "Jan" [nee Osterforoff] Schwendau, mother of Eric Schwendau; his parents Adelbert Schwendau and Lucille [nee Coutre] Schwendau; his brother James Richard Schwendau; his sisters Joan [nee Schwendau] Neve (late Kenneth); and Darlene (nee Schwendau) Steinbeiss (late Wally).

Visitation and prayer service will be held at the Wm. Scott Funeral Home, 1100 Greenleaf Ave. Wilmette, Illinois (847- 251- 8200) on Tuesday, August 12, 2025 between 12:00 and 5:00 with a prayer service beginning at 1:00 until approximately 1:45. All friends and family are welcome.
