It has been many years since i seen zack but i would like to say that it was very obvious to me from our first meeting , that zack was quite brilliant. I know hell be missed by his brother and mother. Nathan, debbie, I am very sorry for your loss

I'm so heartbroken to hear about Zak's passing. My deepest condolences to Deborah and Nathan. Zak was my absolute best friend at GUCI at a time when I really needed one. I learned so much about music, film and politics from Malitz. We'd sit on our camper chairs and hold court until the counselors forced us to go to bed. We stayed in touch off and on throughout the years and I always appreciated his deeply knowledgable insight on whatever the topic of the day was.  His big heart, whip-smart sense of humor, and rascally smile will stay with me forever. I believe there are a handful of people you come across in adolescence who shape the adult you end up becoming, and I am so deeply honored that I had the good fortune of Zac Malitz being one of mine. May his memory be a blessing. 

Zak was an amazing soul no matter who you were he would try to make you smile. The guy was really smart as well, we used to work with each other at Scotty's brew house in bsu, I remember the day that you were trying to help Kirby out by applying at red lobster. Thank you for sharing moments in the kitchen, Thank you for always being a light on a dim day Zak you will be missed by many you were a legend.

I am sorry that we lost touch and that I did not know him as a young adult.
No one could have done the funeral better than Larry - he truly knew and conveyed the remarkable essence of your son.

I remember Zak as a child - capricious, sensitive, intelligent and so devoted to his brother, mother and father. We were all immersed in music in Muncie. I am sure that had an impact for his whole life. 
I feel deep sadness his life ended so early.

Zak had such a spark about him and one of my favorite laughs I have ever encountered - so jolly and pure. I so appreciated his unique, thoughtful perspectives and ability to think critically. What an amazing person lost too soon, yet someone that had a deep, meaningful impact on those who had the privilege of knowing him. You will be missed, my man....

Zak will forever be a part of our hearts! There wasn’t a kinder, more gentle soul. I can picture him now sitting on my front porch laughing with Brooke.  When Brooke was home, you knew Zak would be around. He truly was a part of our family  and will be missed greatly!

He was so loved by everyone at Redlobster. Anytime I needed to joke around with someone when it was slow, he was my go to guy because he always tired to have a smile on his face.  Sending all the love and prayers to his family and friends 🖤

From 1st grade valentines to teenage philosophizing I will always remember Zak as a good friend to Brandon and a laughing, intelligent, fun, and thoughtful soul.  My heart cries.

Zak will forever be remembered by us as the most kindhearted, quick-witted, genius debaters we have met or will ever meet.  We are blessed to have known him!
