Dolores V Moreno, de 94 años, de Wilmington, California, falleció el Martes 1 de Agosto del 2023. Dolores nació en Nogales, Sonora, México, hija de Ricardo Valenzuela y Placida Ruiz. Creció en Hermosillo, Sonora, México, donde asistió a la escuela primaria y completó el segundo grado. En su adolescencia, conoció a José Moreno y se enamoró. Tuvieron muchas citas porque les encantaba escuchar música en vivo, las orquestas y bailar toda la noche. Se casaron y formaron una familia con el nacimiento de sus dos hijas, Manuela y Elba Moreno. La familia se mudó a Guaymas por algún tiempo y tuvo acceso a los mejores mariscos de la ciudad. A Dolores le encantaba dar paseos por El Malecón y la playa. Le gustaba hacer manualidades y hacía hermosas flores de papel. Estas flores de papel se utilizaban para decorar muchos eventos, pero sobre todo bodas. Desde los autos hasta las recepciones, a todos les gustaban mucho sus flores. Despues regresaron a Hermosillo, donde su esposo abrió su propio negocio. Ella lo ayudó con el negocio y tuvieron éxito. Su hija mayor, Manuela, se casó y tuvo 4 hijos. José Efraín, Jesús, Pedro y Reyna Cecilia. Adoraba a sus nietos y tenía el placer de ayudar a criarlos. En 1976 su amado esposo falleció y ella enviudó. Sus hijas decidieron que se mudarían a California. Encontró trabajo en una fábrica de ropa donde utilizó sus habilidades de costura. Su hija Elba se casó y tuvo 4 hijos. Brenda, Vicente, Araceli y Ricardo. Con el paso de los años, su familia creció, y se convirtió no solo en una bisabuela sino en una tatarabuela. La echaremos mucho de menos. Ella nos deja sus enseñanzas y mucho amor.

Un servicio fúnebre para nuestra abuela Maria Dolores se llevará a cabo el Viernes 25 de Agosto del 2023 de 2:00 PM a 9:00 PM en Funeraria Del Angel Wilmington, 1640 North Avalon Blvd, Wilmington, CA 90744.

Dolores V Moreno, age 94, of Wilmington, California passed away on Tuesday, August 1, 2023. Dolores was born in Nogales, Sonora, Mexico to her parents Ricardo Valenzuela and Placida Ruiz. She grew up in Hermosillo, Sonora, Mexico where she attended elementary school and completed second grade. In her teens, she met Jose Moreno and fell in love. They went on many dates as they loved to listen to live music and dance the night away. They married and started a family with the births of their two daughters, Manuela and Elba Moreno. The family moved to Guaymas for some time and had access to the best seafood in town. Dolores loved to take walks at El Malecon and the beach. She enjoyed making arts and crafts as she made beautiful paper flowers. These paper flowers were used to decorate many events but mostly weddings. From the cars to the receptions, everyone really liked her flowers. They eventually moved back to Hermosillo where her husband opened his own business. She helped him with the business and were successful. Her eldest daughter, Manuela married and had 4 children. Jose Efrain, Jesus, Pedro, & Reyna Cecilia. She adored her grandchildren and had the pleasure of helping raise them. In 1976 her beloved husband passed away and she widowed. Her daughters decided that they'd move to California. She found work at a clothing factory where she utilized her sewing abilities. Her daughter Elba then married and had 4 children. Brenda, Vicente, Araceli, and Ricardo. As years went by, her family grew, and she became not only a great grandmother but a great-great grandmother. She will be dearly missed. She leaves us her teachings and so much love.

A viewing service for Dolores will be held Friday, August 25, 2023, from 2:00 PM to 9:00 PM at Funeraria Del Angel Wilmington, 1640 North Avalon Blvd, Wilmington, CA 90744.
