Lucy Ortiz peacefully passed away in her home on January 13, 2013. She was born September 12, 1935. Lucy will be missed by many, but especially her family including her sister, Esther Rangel; son, Sam Ortiz; daughter-in-law, Teresa Solo; granddaughters, Reina (Ortiz) Bonilla and Marlo (Ortiz) Gonzales; and her great-grandchildren, David Lowy, Savannah Bonilla and Serenity Bonilla. Services to celebrate the life of this wonderful, vivacious woman will be held Wednesday, January 23, 2013 at Funeria del Angel McNerney's Mortuary - 1640 N. Avalon Blvd. Wilmington. Reflection will begin at 9am followed by a chapel service at 10am. The graveside interment will be at Wilmington Cemetery - 605 East O Street, Wilmington immediately following the service. Please join the family at a reception after the burial at John Mendez Hall at 707 W. C Street in Wilmington.
