

Sandra "Running Water" Villa, born on April 11, 1955, in Torrance, California, passed away on January 20, 2026, at the age of 70. Sandra was known for her adventurous spirit, devotion, bravery, and loyalty.
Sandra is survived by her partner Leah Jack; her son, Timothy Hernandez (Jenny), grandchildren Mari and Alex and grandpups Stormy and Star. Along with mother Virginia Camou, siblings Pat Jimenez (Richard), Frank Villa(Dorri), Henry Villa (Nani), Diana Padilla (Paya), Richard Villa (Nancy), Eddie Villa, Lorraine Cordova (Rick) and Robert Maynez (Alma).
Proceeded in death by her father Henry Villa, Sisters Julie Torres, and Marie Louviere. Sandra also has many nieces and nephews and cousins that will miss her dearly.
Although Sandra was a Pomona resident towards the end of her life, she was a long time resident of the City of Wilmington where she made her mark marching as a Sergeant of Arm's with the Brown Berets, (Harbor Area Chapter 4).
A visitation will be held at Funeraria Del Angel Wilmington, located at 1640 N. Avalon Blvd., Wilmington, CA 90744, on February 11, 2026, from 5:00 pm to 10:00 pm. An Indigenous Religious Ceremony will also take place at Funeraria Del Angel Wilmington on the same day, beginning at 6:00 pm.
The funeral service is scheduled for February 12, 2026, at 10:00 am at Funeraria Del Angel Wilmington, followed by a burial at Wilmington Cemetery, 605 E. O St., Wilmington, CA 90744, at 11:00 am on the same day.
Sandra's adventurous and devoted nature will be remembered by all who knew her. Her bravery and loyalty left an indelible mark on the lives she touched.
