Alice McLamb Green

Alice McLamb Green, age 75, quietly gained her wings in her home in Rocky Point, NC, on Sunday evening, February 19, 2017. She was born on February 8, 1942, to Ellen and Willie McLamb in Council, NC. She is predeceased by her parents; brother, Lynn (Pauline) McLamb and her sister, Lorraine Burney; her two husbands, Johnny Green, Jr. and Aaron Furches, Sr.; and granddaughter, Kayla Furches. She is survived by her five children: Aaron (Connie) Furches, Darlington, SC; Wayne (Lula) Furches, Rocky Point, NC; Eleanor Monroe, Darlington, SC; Johnnie Green, III, Wilmington, NC; and Lisa Green, Riegelwood, NC; four brothers and sisters: Gertha Cavaner, Fayetteville, NC; William (Jane) McLamb, Morganton, NC; J. P. (Evelyn) McLamb, Fayetteville, NC; and Annie Tidwell, Columbia, SC. Twelve grandchildren: Chris (Mary) Furches, Jeremy (Mindy) Pendley, Stephanie Furches, Jared Simpson, Nikki (Julio) Tejeda, Dylan Simpson, Kayli Furches, Mason Monroe, Mary Monroe, Candace (Brian) Wimberly, Dillon Estep, and Kristin (Kevin Little) Green; one step grandchild: Sara Mills: Fourteen great grandchildren: Christopher, Jr., Johnathan, Nicholas and Serenity Furches; Gavin and Draven Pendley; Sacred Baylor, Mia Furches, Kya Odom, Nola Wimberly, Andres and Estella Tejeda; Gemmy Estep and unborn baby boy Green; three step great grandchildren: Landon Mills, Ally Hart, Hunter Hart; several cousins, nieces, nephews and many friends who will miss her dearly. Alice was a strong, loving and caring woman who was loved by everyone who met her.

A visitation will be held from 6PM-8PM Thursday, February 23, 2017 at Coble Ward-Smith Funeral & Cremation Service.

A Graveside Service will be held at 11AM Friday, February 24, 2017 at Benevolent Cemetery in Bladenboro County with Pastor Ray Davis officiating.
