

He was born on November 21, 1938 to the late Clyde E. Joyner, Sr. and Lena Foy Joyner.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 57 years, Faye Matthews Joyner, devoted daughters, Kimberly Joyner, Suzanne Joyner Morales (Lee), Lisa Joyner
Fitzgerald (Joe) and three grandchildren, Jade Alexandra Morales, Jack Alexander Fitzgerald and Andrew (Drew) Barclay Fitzgerald, the greatest joys of his life. In addition, he is survived by brothers: Robert Lee Joyner (Dora), Roy Vance Joyner (Donna), Alfred Ray Joyner (Debra), and sister, Nancy Joyner Carroll. He was preceded in death by sister, Francis Joyner Ellington.
Uncle Clyde had numerous nieces and nephews that looked up to him as the patriarch of the Joyner family. One special nephew, Ervin Dean Roberts, who assisted the family in caring for Clyde.Clyde was the owner of Joyner Supply Company, later named Johnstone Supply, until his retirement in 2003. After retirement, he enjoyed his wife, children, grandchildren, special friends at Pine Valley Country Club and his church family at Pine Valley Baptist Church and Central Church in Wilmington. God granted Clyde the gifts of friendship, kindness, and great generosity. He used his gifts to the fullest measure.
A Visitation will be held from 10AM until 12PM on Saturday, January 14, 2017 at Pine Valley Baptist Church. The Funeral Service will follow at 12PM with
Pastor Tim Denny officiating.
Entombment will be held at Oleander Memorial Gardens.
