David Mullen Pearce

David Mullen Pearce, 79, of Leesville, SC, formerly of Rocky Point, NC died on Friday June 27, 2008, peacefully in his home. David was born April 23, 1929 in Franklin County, North Carolina. David retired from the US Air Force with over 20 years of service. He proudly served his country during the Vietnam War. David also retired from General Electric, Castle Hayne plant in 1988. He is preceded in death by his mother Minnie Boyette Pearce, his wife Doris R. Pearce, and a brother, N.C. Pearce. He is survived by his eight children, Diana Joubert of Hawthorne, CA, David Pearce and wife, Sue of Rocky Point, NC, Darlene Clark and husband, James ""Buddy"" of Rocky Point, Donald Pearce and wife, Janice of Leesville, SC, Daniel Pearce, Donna Pearce, and Deborah Cottle and husband, Jeff all of Wilmington, NC Douglas Pearce and wife Wendy of Nashville, TN; twenty-nine grandchildren and fourteen great-grand children, his sister Edna Pearce Hatcher of Winnabow, NC, a sister-in-law, Evelyn Caron of Canada, a brother-in-law Maurice Doyon of Lisbon, ME and numerous nieces, nephews and friends. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 1:00 p.m. Monday, June 30, 2008 at St. Therese Catholic Church. Interment will follow in Oleander Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 4:00 – 5:00 p.m. Sunday at Andrews Mortuary Market Street Chapel.
