Dee Capps

Dee was born in Asheboro, NC on April 23, 1943 to the late John Dixon Elmore and Sara Brown Elmore.

Dee cherished her family and nothing made her happier than spending time with them during the holidays, special occasions or just because. She was a truly warm and loving wife, mother, grandmother and friend. She will be missed by many.

Survivors include her loving husband of 53 years and best friend, Tom Capps; one daughter, Tonnya West and husband David, of Wilmington; one son, Tommy Capps and wife Angie of Wilmington; and four grandchildren, Emily Capps, Emorri West, Coleman Capps and Daton West.

A memorial service will be held on Monday, July 18, at 3:00pm at Coble, Ward- Smith Funeral Service on Oleander Drive. Fellowship with the family will immediately follow the service.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Wilmington Hospice Care Center, 1406 Physicians Drive, Wilmington, NC 28401.
