
Dolores (Dee) Willis Pearsall Wilson, 98, of Wilmington, passed away on Wednesday, November 14, 2018 at Davis Heath Care Center. She was born on Tuesday, August 10, 1920 in Wilmington to Iredell William Willis and Daisy Salter Willis.
She retired after serving as the Assistant Director of School Food Service for the New Hanover Board of Education where she was employed for 20 years. She was a member of Pearsall Memorial Presbyterian Church where she served as an Elder and was an adult Sunday school teacher for over 50 years. She served as Moderator of the Presbyterian Women for ten years. She was also an avid basket weaver for several years.
She is survived by her son, Victor Pearsall (Robin) of Wilmington, daughter, Susan Pearsall Baker (Boyd) of Johns Island, SC, step-children, David W. Wilson, Jr. of Rocky Mount, Robert French Wilson of Hampstead, and Priscilla Wilson Judy (Bob) of Hampstead, 3 grandchildren, Courtney Baggett (Graham), Jane Baker Birkelbach (Ryan), Alex Baker (Tiffany), 1 step-grandchild, Nicholas Wilson, 9 great grandchildren and her sister Orma Jean Willis Swanson of Virginia Beach, VA.
She was preceded in death by her husbands, Melzar (Pete) Pearsall and David Winchell Wilson and her parents.
A Memorial Service will be held at 10AM on Friday, November 30, 2018 at Pearsall Memorial Presbyterian Church, 3902 Market Street, Wilmington with Rev. Aaron Doll and Rev. June Highfill officiating. Burial in Oakdale Cemetery will be private.
