He was a graduate of New Hanover High School. He retired from Duke Energy/Progress. Don enjoyed playing golf with his friends, walking the beach and was a member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church. He was a veteran of the Army, Navy and National Guard.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Horace Malcolm Hall and Robert Eugene Hall.
He leaves behind his wife, Linda Voss Hall; daughter, Olivia Hall Wilson (Tim); son, Jonathan Maxwell Hall (Vanessa); two Grandchildren, Anna Kate Wilson and Joshua Alexander Wilson; one sister, Anne Hall Edens (Dan). He also is survived by his nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Greg Andrews, Danny Edens, Rob Hall and Malcolm Hall.

Burial will take place in Oakdale Cemetery.
