Edna Ruth Hardison Jordan

Edna Ruth Hardison Jordan, 77, of Leland, NC, passed away on Thursday, October 23, 2014, at New Hanover Regional Medical Center, Wilmington. She was born in April 21, 1937, in Duplin County, NC, daughter of Webb Hardison and Neffie Hall Hardison. Her husband, Lonnie Mack Jordan passed away in 2003. Mrs. Jordan was a member of Shiloh United Methodist Church. Surviving are sons, Crudy Jordan, David Jordan and wife Maria, and Amos Jordan all of Leland; grandchildren, Tamara, Carla, Nikki, Toni, David, Sarai, and Kaity; great-grandchildren, Shannon, Kayla, Maddy, Kendall, Rylee, and Ruby; also sisters, Marie Jarman of Richlands and Beverly Thompson of High Point; brothers, Leslie Kennedy of Potters Hill, NC, Henry Hardison of Richlands, and Nelson Hardison of Richlands; a nephew, Alan Hardison and wife Theresa of Kinston; extended family members, Curtis and Mary Sullivan; and a special thanks to Susan Rice for the care she gave Mrs. Jordan. A great-grandchild, Devin, a sister, Mildred Hardison, and a brother, Cecil Ray Hardison, preceded her in death. A funeral service will be held at Shiloh United Methodist Church, Hwy 87, at 3:00 p.m. Monday, October 27, 2014, by Rev. Jerry L. Clark. The family will receive friends at the church from 2:00 p.m. Monday until the service time. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
