

She had just had her 80th birthday. She was the daughter of Ollie and James
Harris Ligon of Wilmington, NC.
Usually called Betsy by her friends, she grew up loving all things having
to do with the beaches around Wilmington, NC. She attended New Hanover High
School in Wilmington and Meredith College in Raleigh, NC. She married Ennis
Robinson, who was her high school sweetheart and the star of the Wildcats
football team. She worked at the Ferndale Day Care Nursery In Glen Burnie.
She was an avid book reader and loved to travel all over the states and
abroad with the Ligon Family. Her favorite trip was to the ancestral home,
Madresfield Court in England. She was a dedicated mother to her three
children. She had one precious grand daughter, Sabrie Elizabeth Robinson,
whom she frequently visited.
She is survived by her sons Roy Robinson, Bryan Robinson and his wife Dawn,
and her dear granddaughter. She is also survived by her nephews Arren
Fisher and Elliott Fisher, and her sister Lynn Ligon Fisher.
She is proceeded in death by her daughter Beth Robinson, her brother James
Harris Ligon, Jr., and her parents James and Ollie Ligon.
Visitation will be held from 6:00pm to 8:00pm on Tuesday, November 22, 2016 at Coble Ward-Smith Funeral Service.
Funeral Service will be held at 11am on Wednesday, November 23, 2016 at Coble Ward-Smith Funeral Service Chapel. Interment to follow at Oleander Memorial Gardens.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that donations be made to the
Mental Health Department.
