Emily Walker Seitter

Emily Walker Seitter, passed away on June 21, 2013. She was born on September 27, 1940 in Wilmington, NC, to the late Frank Louis Walker, Sr. and Mary Nelms Walker. She is also preceded in death by her brothers, Louis Walker and Will Walker. Emily is survived by her caring husband David Albert Seitter after 54 years of marriage. In addition to her husband, she is survived by her children, David Ray (Laurie) and Charlotte Seitter Sherman (Lowell); eight grandchildren, Ashley, Kelsey, Tessa, Michaela, Joshua, and Samantha Seitter, and Kimberly and Pamela Sherman. Her hospitality and home cooking touched many in and around the Wrightsboro community. She was an active member of the Wrightsboro Volunteer Fire Department for more than two decades. She enjoyed being outdoors, working on the family farm, and serving up the fish and game that her family brought home. She was a strong woman who served as an inspiration for anyone who met her. Her family would like to thank the staff at Northchase Nursing Home, NHRMC's seventh floor, and Dr. Justin Miller for their care and support. Funeral services will be held 11:00 am, Tuesday, June 25, 2013 at Wrightsboro Baptist Church with burial to follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park. The family will receive friends the same day at the church beginning at 10:00 am until the service hour. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that gifts be made to Wrightsboro Baptist Church.
