He was born in Wilmington, NC on March 14, 1932 to the late Margaret Elizabeth Johnson and James Worth Bagley Johnson. He is also preceded in death by his wife, Carolyn Mae Whitley Johnson
He retired from Textilease after 25 years of service and went on to own his own business.
He is survived by his 3 children, Carolyn (Fran) Howard, JoAnn Stroupe and George(Eddie) Johnson, Jr, Two grandsons, Kristopher Stone and Charles Stroupe and one great grandson, Colin Stone.
