

Hanni was born on March 4, 1940 in Bad Kreuznach, Germany to Anton and Margarete Kohlenbeck. A devoted member of the Catholic faith, she lived a life grounded in prayer, service and deep love for her family.
Hanni enjoyed a successful career in real estate, including 29 years as a Realtor with Fonville Morisey Realty in Raleigh, North Carolina. Her faith was central to her life, and among her proudest accomplishments was serving as an active participant on the building committee for the new Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church in Noblesville, Indiana. She will be remembered as a loving and supportive wife, mother and grandmother. She was known for her kindness, warm hospitality, and constant desire to serve others.
Hanni is survived by her daughter, Monica (Nicky) Fischer and her husband Tim, and by her sons Michael Kuhlman and his wife Cheryl, and Mark Kuhlman and his wife Nikki. She is also survived by her grandchildren Erika, Patrick, Lauren, Kaitlyn, Zachary, and Lucas, and her great-grandchildren Lillah, Jasmine, Jacob, Jayce, Rallie, and Beaux.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Peter Kuhlman.
The family extends their warmest thanks to the doctors, nurses, and staff at Davis Community Center, Novant Medical Center, and Lower Cape Fear LifeCare, all of whom showed great compassion and care for Hanni during the final chapter of her life.
A Funeral Liturgy will be celebrating Hanni’s life will be held on Friday, March 27th at 1:00 pm in the chapel at St. Francis of Assisi located at 11401 Leesville Rd, Raleigh, NC 27613.
The family asks those who knew Hanni, to keep her in their prayers. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Lower Cape Fear LifeCare - the hospice organization and their amazingly compassionate staff that provided Hanni with exceptional care in her final days.
