Helen "Mickey" Willis

Helen "Mickey" was born June 12, 1934 in Delco, North Carolina daughter to the late Luther and Carrie Carter. She is also preceded in death by her husband, Robert Willis and grandson, Joshua Daughtry.

"Mickey" loved the Lord and was a faithful church goer. We especially remember her pulling weeds preparing to plant the roots of her garden. She loved working in her garden, growing her own vegetables and especially her flowers where she saw the beauty of nature.

"Mickey" is survived by her children: Barbara (George) Schadt, Robert "Johnny" Willis, Jr., Cyndee (Darren) Blunt; grandchildren: Larry Cannon, Jr., Robert Cannon, Frances Cannon, Tabitha Cannon, Alan Fontana, Jaley Cannon, Jacob Charlet and Lydia Charlet; sister-in-law, Evelyn Carter; 5 great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

The family would especially like to thank her neighbors and friends the Hunt family and her caregiver, Shirley for their care and kindness.

Visitation will be held from 1:00pm to 2:00pm on Tuesday, February 15, 2022 at Coble Funeral and Cremation Service at Greenlawn Memorial Park, 1155 Shipyard Blvd, Wilmington, NC 28412.

Funeral Services will start at 2:00pm in the Coble Funeral and Cremation Service at Greenlawn Memorial Park Chapel. Interment to follow in Greenlawn Memorial Park.
