Hettie Marie Coston

She was born in Sampson County on September 22, 1925 to the late Beatty and Mary Gainey.

She was a loving mother and grandmother. She was a member of Sunset Park Baptist Church. Her hobbies were volunteering as an Assistant Teacher for children with learning disabilities. She also did volunteer work with meals on wheels and at the Senior Citizen Center.

She was preceded in death by her husband Homer F. Coston and two sons Jimmy and Frank Coston.

She is survived by: sister, Adline Norris of Erwin, NC; two sons, Edward Coston and wife Jill of Roanoke Rapids NC., Larry Coston and wife Cecelia of Wilmington, NC., 15 grandchildren, 21 great grandchildren, 8 great- great grandchildren.

A visitation will be Sunday, December 4, 2016 from 2pm to 4pm and on Monday, December 5, from 10am to 11am at Coble Ward-Smith Funeral Service.

A Funeral service will be at 11am on Monday, December 5, 2015 at Coble Ward-Smith Funeral Service with Pastor Chris Wroten officiating. Interment will follow at Greenlawn Cemetery.
