It’s been two years.. I still cannot fathom the fact that he’s really gone. I really can’t. I really miss him and I feel robbed of a friendship with him. I always wanted to meet him again, knowing that I cannot really breaks me. I’m horribly sorry for his direct family, I’ve been praying and will continue to pray for all of you. He was such a beautiful person, I wish I could remember his voice. It’s been so long. I hope that he’s no longer in pain and that he may feel eternal peace. Could anyone tell me his favorite songs, favorite plants, anything? I’d love to learn about him more.

I plan to post a drawing of him that I’m making on this page, as a gift. 

I miss you buddy I hope that you’re at peace, wherever you are now. We’ll never forget you.

Oh my I can’t believe he’s actually gone.. I miss Jacob so much it’s insane how little time me and him actually got to spend together and yet he was always the childhood friend I held onto the most.. I haven’t seen him in ten years yet I still think about him atleast once a day. Tonight has been especially bad. I can’t forget myself, how I walked aimlessly and hopelessly through the cemetery hoping to find him only to learn he was cremated. How can we live in a world where boys and girls get cremated at such a young age?  His life barely begun. Jacob, you must be so special if a kid you barely got to play with is still mourning you near 10 years later. You are so special. I cannot imagine the pain that everyone else here is going through. I’m so so sorry. When I found out he passed my whole world changed. I wished to god he didn’t pass. He died just two days after my grandmother.. why is it that we lose the good people first? Please rest easy, Jacob and know you’ll never be forgotten.

Hi. I’m Cali (Lee) Crawford. This photo was taken 2011, at our elementary school in Carolina beach. We were best friends, well- really. I had a massive crush on him. He was my first ever crush, my “prince and I’m rapunzel!” As I used to say back then. We didn’t get to play much, but when we did, we had an awesome time. I loved him so much. All in my childhood, I wondered when I get to see him. As I found out tragically today, 12/7/2022, that I will never. Get to see him again. I am in tears. I’m heartbroken over this. I’m so sorry. Thank you though, thank you, for being my friend. I hope one day we’ll see each other again Jacob, Rest In Peace.

For the short time that we taught Jacob at Murray, he was an excellent student. He was hard working, eager to learn, and he loved being part of a community. He told us all about  the fun adventures he had and just how much he seemed to enjoy life. He just liked to make people happy and help people when they needed it. We may have only worked with him for a short while, but he’ll forever be in our hearts.

We did not know Jacob as well as his mom, dad, brother and aunt Jodi and Uncle Bill since they moved from Florida but we know what a loving family they all are.  Words cannot be expressed for the pain you all must be feeling. We pray for your comfort. Jacob is such a handsome boy, always smiling and busy. Whether I was helping out with math and reading groups at CBES, giving Jacob a ride home from the bus stop, seeing us at a restaurant, or watching the boys play basketball; Jacob would always greet me with a "Hi, Jack's mom," a hug, and a smile.   Our heartfelt condolences to all of Jacob's family and friends.  Heaven gained an angel with the best hugs and the best smile.  -The Davies Family

I knew Jacob from a little Cub Scout as I am an assistant scout master and would see him at camp and always willing to follow me and help clean dining hall . Years passed and he was more grown now again at camp then again with his best friend Jonathan we all did our Ordeal together . I’ll forever miss those goggles the questions the knowledge the smiles and the growing of an amazing scout which the BSA and OA has another fallen scout . I am Caden Alkins a classmate of Jacob and words cannot describe how much of a sweet soul he was. His positive energy was radiant for the 8 years I have known him. Every high five and conversation at the lunchtable I had with Jacob was definitely the highlight of my day, I loved Jacob and seeing him in school. I will never forget Jacob.

Jacob, Thank you for the joy and the memories. I know you’re dancing on the streets of gold. Your smile and kindness will be deeply missed.  Rest In Peace 

Jacob, you taught me so much as your teacher. I'm not going to lie, at times you were so frustrating. There were so many more times that you made me so proud of your accomplishments. Rest easy. 

I would like to extend my heartfelt condolences to the family of Jacob Todd.   I knew Jacob as student that attended Murray Middle School and he was such an amazing person.  I enjoyed speaking to him daily when he was a student at Murray, because he was always kind, respectful, and pleasant.  My thoughts and prayers are with you all during this time.

As a student at Murray Middle School, I will always remember Jacobs smile. Whenever I walked in to his classroom or he walked into mine, he was smiling. He was a kind young man and will be missed by his family, his friends and everyone who ever knew him. 

Jacob and I would always walk together at recess, in the halls, almost anytime we saw eachother at school. We’d play basketball at the courts or just sit and talk. He was always smiling and made sure I was too. I don’t know a single person who didn’t enjoy Jacobs presence. 

Jacob's hugs could make anyone smile. His laugh was contagious.  Watching Jacob grow from 1st grade to 10th grade was amazing. He never gave less than 100%. Always wanted to make sure everyone was proud of him. Jacob, I love you like a son...I am proud of you my boy! 

My buddy my world was better because I got to have you in my life!!! Love you always!!!
