Jane Cook Benson, 60, of Salisbury, NC passed away Monday, September 28, 2015 from complications of cancer. Jane was born December 27, 1954 and was raised in Kure Beach, NC. She was preceded in death by her mother, Edna Carole Lowder Cook and father, William Howard Cook and grandparents, Marshall Lee and Janie T. Lowder. She leaves behind 2 brothers, William Rhyne Cook and wife, Jayne Marie Cook and Zeb Marshall Cook and wife, Emily Cook; sister, Karen C. Paul and husband Rod Paul; and 4 nephews and 3 nieces. She lived passionately through teaching and travel. Jane was a CPA who taught at RCCC and CPCC until her death. A graveside service will be held at 2:00 pm Saturday, October 3, 2015 at Greenlawn Memorial Park.
