Jean Lawson of Wilmington died Tuesday January 15, 2008 at home. She was born in Martinsville, VA daughter of the late Claude Simpson Hill Sr. and Eva Reynolds Hill. Mrs. Lawson was a member of Winter Park Baptist Church and was retired form Wachovia Bank. Surviving is her husband Leo Lawson of the home; children; Leo Lawson Jr. and wife Lee Ann of Atlanta GA and LeAnn Croom of Wilmington; grandchildren; Alexis Croom, Ethan Lawson and Lauren Lawson; sister; Elise Pietsch of Germany and a brother Claude S. Hill Jr. of Sanford NC. A funeral service will be held 11 am Saturday January 19, 2008 at Andrews Mortuary Valley Chapel. The family will receive friends from 10 am to 11 am Saturday before the service at Andrews Mortuary Valley Chapel. A graveside service will be held 2 pm Saturday at the Lawson Family Cemetery Orrum, NC. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Lower Cape Fear Hospice 2222 S. 17th St Wilmington NC 28401
