

Jeanette was born in Alamo, GA on July 14, 1925, the fifth of six children of the late James and Dollie Mullis. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Primo Naval; sister, Inez Strickland; and three brothers, Arnold Mullis, Thaxton Mullis, and Sydney Lanier Mullis.
Jeanette worked for National Geographic Society for over 20 years. When she and her husband, Primo, retired, They moved to Wilmington, NC and dabbled in real estate with remarkable success.
Jeanette was an active member of Winter Park Baptist Church. A Deacon and Devotional Leader, she derived great satisfaction delivering inspiring and entertaining devotionals to her church groups.
Jeanette is survived by her brother, Gerald Mullis of Macon, GA; daughters, Nita Naval of Pacifica, CA and Christina Palmer of Charlotte, NC; son, Joseph Naval and his wife Gail of Rock Hill, SC; grandchildren; Cheryl Trooskin-Zoller of Seattle, WA, Jennifer Trooskin of Pacifica, CA, Moment Palmer of Washington, DC, Stone Palmer of Charlotte, NC, Vicki Kelliebrew of Lanham, MD; and 4 great grandchildren.
The family expresses love and gratitude to Lennart Lonander, her best friend who brought joy into her life for many years.
The visitation will be held from 10am to 11am on March 30, 2018 at Winter Park Baptist Church.
The funeral service will be held at 11:00 am on Friday, March 30, 2018 at Winter Park Baptist Church, with Pastor Mark Teachey officiating. Interment will follow at Oleander Memorial Gardens.
