John Phillip Carey, Jr. Jack, 92, a longtime resident of Wilmington, NC, died Sunday, December 6, 2009 in Mt. Laurel, NJ. He was born in Philadelphia, PA, on October 20, 1917, the son of the late John P. and Alma D. McBride Carey. Also remembered is his wife, Thelma ""Toni"" Payne Carey who preceded Jack in death in 2002. Jack was a veteran of WWII having served in the US Navy SeaBees. He was retired from Dupont. Surviving are several grandchildren and great grandchildren. A graveside service will be held at 3:00 pm Tuesday, December 15, 2009 in Greenlawn Memorial Park Mausoleum, Wilmington, NC.
