Eddie attended North Carolina School for the Deaf in Morganton, NC. He was the head cutter for Century Mills for nearly 45 years. He enjoyed woodworking and made many tiny birdhouses, which he loved to give away. He enjoyed football, especialy the Panthers and Tar Heels. The highlight of his week was a road trip to Lane’s Ferry Barbeque (many thanks to Kenny and Marie McManus, you made his Fridays!) Although deaf from the age of 18 months, he never considered himself handicapped and led a full and happy life. He never knew a stranger and always had a smile for everyone he met. We will miss you Gan Gan.
