John Phillip Pinto, Sr.

John Phillip Pinto, Sr., 54, of Leland, NC died Thursday, October 31, 2013 He was born February 2, 1959 in Wilmington, NC the son of Robert "Bob"Andrew Pinto and the late Anne Osgood Fulcher Pinto. John graduated from North Brunswick High School. He enjoyed his career as a heavy equipment operator working primarily in underground utilities. He enjoyed outdoor activities, especially hunting, and fishing. John was a loving and devoted father and adored his grandchildren. He loved going to watch his grandchildren's ballgames and other events. Surviving are his daughter, Cynthia Pinto Pickett and husband Willie Pickett, Jr. and their children, Caitlyn, Alexis, and Willie Pickett, III; his son, John Phillip Pinto, Jr. and wife Holly and their children, John Pinto III and Cadence; two brothers, Mike Pinto and Kenny Pinto and wife Twylah; one sister, Doris Pinto and Charlie Howard, and several nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held at 3 PM, Sunday, November 3, 2013 at Andrews Mortuary Market Street Chapel with Rev. John Porter officiating. The family would like to express their sincere appreciation to the staff at SECU Hospice House of Brunswick for their loving care of John and ask that any memorials be made to Hospice House , 1406 Physicians Dr., Wilmington, NC 28401.
