

Eleanora Glover was born in Manhattan, in 1924; Karl Wolf born just nine months earlier, October 1923 in Obernburg am Main, Germany, lived in New York when he was just four years old. Married at 18 and 19 years of age, they celebrated their 75th anniversary last November.
They are survived by daughters Jeffrie (Louis) Natale, Stephanie (Donald) Sullins, Christine (Russell) Knights and Diane Wolf, son Karl (Patricia) and Eleanora’s 98 year old brother Robert (Dee) Glover. Eleven grandchildren and twenty-five great-grandchildren.
Karl and Eleanora were very active members of the St. Mark’s Episcopal Church and Choir in Islip, NY for many years and after moving to Wilmington, NC, continued giving to the community of St. John’s Episcopal Church where she was the choir librarian and also continued her participation in Cursillo Ministries.
Ellie worked for 27 years at AIL, an electronics defense contractor on Long Island and Karl, a WWII Navy Veteran, also retired from AIL after 23 years.
Ellie also enjoyed Facebook in her later years and always knew what activities grandkids and great-grandkids were into.
A Memorial Service will be held at St. John’s Episcopal Church, 1219 Forest Hills Dr, Wilmington, NC 28403 on July 14th at 1pm.
