Passed away February 13, 2026, after an eight-month illness. She leaves behind a life defined by a sharp intellect, a strong work ethic, a spirit of adventure, and a deep love for family and friends.
Born in Minneapolis, June 21, 1967, Kristin grew up in Victoria, Minnesota. She earned her degree in political science from the University of Minnesota, where her curiosity and sharp mind set her apart. After college, she worked as a restaurant manager, gaining the people skills and leadership that would later shape a highly successful career as a biotech specialty pharmaceutical sales representative. She excelled in her field, earning admiration from doctors and nurses for her professionalism, work ethic, and integrity. Career advancement brought Kristin and her husband Henry to much-loved homes and communities in Hopkins, Minnesota; Honolulu, Hawaii; Lake Oswego, Oregon; Albuquerque, New Mexico; and Wilmington, North Carolina.
From a young age, Kristin found joy on horseback. An accomplished rider, she was passionate about show-jumping and English-riding, and over the years she raised four horses, among them her beloved Gus. Riding was one of her lifelong joys and a reflection of her determination and grace. She enjoyed the many friendships along the way. Those who knew her remember a woman who was extraordinarily smart, ethical, and dependable, with a sharp wit that could brighten any room. Kristin had a great love for music of all kinds and relished attending Henry’s live music performances with his brother’s Benny Weinbeck trio. Always stylish, she enjoyed working for Neiman Marcus in Chicago nurturing her love for fashion. She found joy in life’s simple pleasures and loved flowers, animals, cooking gourmet meals – especially anything French -- and time spent with people. Her playful spirit and sharp mind also enjoyed the daily challenge of Wordle. Kristin was grateful for her success and was devoted to helping those less fortunate. Some of her volunteer work included assisting survivors of abuse; teaching at horse riding camps for children with disabilities; and fund-raising (or bell ringing) for the Salvation Army. Above all, she cherished her life with her beloved husband of 30 years, Henry Weinbeck. Together they shared a love of travel all over the world and a shared spirit of adventure.
They had a life filled with devotion, laughter, countless journeys, new friendships, and deeply treasured their time together and made the most of every moment. She will be profoundly missed by her husband, family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing her. Her strength, intelligence, and warmth leave a lasting legacy. Kristin is survived by her husband Henry, parents Jan and Tom Werdin, brothers Jim and Andrew, and his wife Amy, many in-laws, nieces and nephews.
