

Louise C. Crumpler, 76, of Rocky Point, NC died on Saturday, October 15, 2022. She was born in Whiteville, NC on November 27, 1945 to Adolph and Vivian Creech. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her youngest sister, Shirley Royall of Lake Waccamaw, NC.
Louise was the oldest of 5 children and was a graduate of Hallsboro High School where she made numerous lifelong friends. She worked at New Hanover Regional Medical Center for many years, starting as the head cashier in the Admissions and Administration office and retired as the head secretary of the laboratory. She was a Christian, and faithful member of Wrightsboro Baptist Church.
Louise had the wonderful gift of being able to talk to anyone. Perfect strangers would come to her and she would engage in conversation like they were old friends. Some of her greatest joys in life besides her family, especially her granddaughter, were simple things such as visiting the mountains in the fall, eating oysters, boiled peanuts or muscadine grapes, and monthly gatherings with her beloved “Steel Magnolias”, the girls from her 1964 high school graduating class.
Louise is survived by her loving husband, Robert Crumpler of Rocky Point, NC, son Rob Crumpler and his wife Leslie and granddaughter Laura (the apple of her eye) of Chesapeake, VA, sister Millie Patton of Little River, SC, brother Will Creech and his wife Stephanie of Star, NC, brother Donnie Creech and his wife Brenda of Hallsboro, NC, niece Donna Parker, her husband Lee, and daughter Haley of Lake Waccamaw, nephew George Bryan and wife Lexanne of Castle Hayne, NC, nephew Luke Bryan and wife Lisa of Rocky Point, NC, four grand nephews and two great grandnieces.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 2pm on Friday, October 21, 2022 at Coble Funeral Service & Cremation Chapel, 1155 Shipyard Blvd, Wilmington, NC.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
Burial will be in Greenlawn Memorial Park.
