Margaret Sykes Croom

She was born on March 16, 1921 in Richmond, VA. She is preceded in death by her parents, Beulah Pierce and Charles S. Sykes and her husband of 60 years, Pearlie Croom and daughter, Brenda Kay Croom.

She went to be with her Lord and Savior. She was a faithful member of Wrightsboro Baptist Church, until her sickness. She worked at Turner Drug Store and Wrightsboro School until her retirement.

Margaret is survived by her son, John Charles Croom; daughter, Gladys C.

Branch and her husband Gerald Branch; grandchildren, Cheryl A. Branch, G. Nathan Branch, L. Duane Branch, Kim W. Beller, John E. Wood III, Shane C. Croom and Shannon C. Parton; great grandchildren, Jennifer, Ashley, Kayla, Hagan, Shyann, Milissa, Lacie, Bradley and Barry; great great grandchildren; Chance, Zachery, Emma and Stanton.

Visitation will be held from 6:00pm to 8:00pm on Friday May 10, 2013 at Coble Ward-Smith Funeral Home, 3915 Oleander Drive, Wilmington, NC 28403.

Funeral Service will be held at 10:00am on Saturday May 11, 2013 at Wrightsboro Baptist Church, 2736 Castle Hayne Rd, Wilmington, NC 28401. Graveside Service will follow at Garden of Memories Cemetery in Kelly, NC with Pastor Brad Harrison officiating.

Pallbearers will be family and friends.
