Margaret Elizabeth Irving

Margaret Elizabeth Irving, 93 of Wilmington passed away Sunday, October 10. 2010. Margaret was born in Wilmington on August 23, 1917. Her parents were George Daniel Farrow and Annie Elizabeth Cottle Farrow. Margaret grew up and lived most of her life near Masonboro Sound. She was a longtime and faithful member of Masonboro Baptist Church. She was a professional hair stylist until her retirement. She is survived by five beloved children, Jean McTavish, John Irving, Charles Irving, Donald Irving and wife Faye, and Graham Irving all of Wilmington. Grandchildren, Gary McTavish Lea Ann, Sandy FrancisBlue, Bryce Patrick McTavishTerry, Michael Scot McTavish Keven Johnny Irving, Wendy Watson, Brad Irving, and Jared Irving. Nine great grandchildren, and two great great grandchildren. Remembered are two grandsons, Brad Irving, and Bryce McTasvish, Jr.Terry and her son-in-law Bryce McTavish, Sr., all who preceded her in death. Visitation for family and friends will be 6 to 8 pm Wednesday at Andrews Mortuary Valley Chapel, 4108 S. College Rd., Wilmington and at other times at her home on Masonboro Loop Road. Funeral services will be 11 am Thursday, at Masonboro Baptist Church with burial in the church cemetery. A special thanks to the staff at the Lower Cape Fear Hospice and LifeCare Center for the special love and care given to Mrs. Irving and her family.
