Marge Allen

Wilmington, NC – Wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend. Passed away peacefully at the Lower Cape Fear Hospice Center after a courageous battle with pancreatic cancer on January 7, 2019, at age 75. Survived by her loving husband of 25 years, Ken Allen, her brother William (Lilo) Sacherek of Mukilteo, Washington and her three children of Rochester NY, Michael (Esther) Grakowsky, Leslie (Joseph) Lusk and Rick Grakowsky. She will be remembered fondly for family trips to Topsail Island by her four grandchildren Elise and Marlena Grakowsky and Hayden and Devin Lusk.

Born in Manchester Connecticut, Marge was a medical secretary and office manager for decades. Relocating to Rochester, NY in the 70’s, she raised a family and made many friends along the way. In the early 90’s she moved to Wilmington, NC with Ken to enjoy the beach and nice weather. She spent many years delighting customers at Target and Kohls in Wilmington, volunteering in the community and becoming a trusted friend of many.

Her children are extremely grateful for Ken taking such loving care of Marge. They also want to recognize the staff of the Lower Cape Fear Hospice Center for the compassionate care they provided. 

The family will receive friends on Thursday January 10, 2019 from 5:00pm until 7:00pm at Andrews Mortuary Hampstead Chapel.
