Mary Benson Jackson

She is preceded in death by the love of her life, her husband of 44 years, Clyde Jackson; brothers Houston Benson and Irvin Benson.

She is survived by a son, Randy Jackson; sisters Geneva Todd (Paul), Sadie Robinson (Jim), Katie Moore (Kenneth); brothers, Van Benson Jr., Thomas Benson (Judy); special friend Margaret Malpass; and the family would like to recognize a special caregiver Linda Watkins.

After graduation from Delco High School, Mary went to work for Pierce and Wyche Company for many years. Her and her husband Clyde loved flowers, gardening, and freezing food. Mary and Clyde loved their cows and chickens. She was a member of Piney Grove Advent Church, where she was a pianist for many years.

A visitation will be held on Sunday, March 17, 2013 from 5 to 7 PM at Piney Grove Advent Christian Church, Delco NC. A funeral service will be held Monday, March 18, 2013 at 1:00 PM at Piney Grove Advent Christian Church, Delco NC. Interment to follow in the church cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Mary Jackson’s memory to the Piney Grove Church Building Fund, the Diabetes Association, or the charity of one’s choice.
