Nellie Sullivan

Nellie is preceded in death by her husband Woodrow Sullivan.

She is survived by her daughter Betty Sullivan Walters and husband Huxley, sons; Wilson Sullivan and wife Sharon, Wade Sullivan, brother Jimmy Hudson, grandchildren; Colton Sullivan, Presleigh Sullivan, Teresa DeVos, Eugene (Max) Skipper, and four great-grandchildren

Nellie graduated from James Walker School of Nursing as a Registered Nurse. She started her nursing career at Bulllok Hospital in the operating room and worked her way up to head nurse at New Hanover Memorial. After she left the hospital environment she worked as a private nurse and enjoyed visiting the patients at their home and getting to know the families.

A Visitation will be held 1pm on Saturday, August 4, 2018 at Zion United Methodist Church in Winnabow, where she was the longest living member. The Funeral Service will be held at 2pm. Interment will be at the church cemetery.

The family would like to thank all of the doctors, nurses and staff of Lower Cape Fear Hospice for their love and care.
