Mrs Pipkin & Family:
I just learned  of your husband’s passing today and am deeply saddened.  I had the honor of working  with Dr. Nicky Pipkin at Medical Center of South Arkansas in El Dorado, AR. .  I will always remember him as a loving, caring, heartfelt surgeon - dedicated to our field- medicine and surgery.  Nicky was truly called to serve his fellow man as a healer and gentle giant - highly skilled and highly respected as a Cardiothoracic surgeon -by patients, staff and colleagues.  
Dr Pipkin left us too soon! He did tremendous good on earth and in medicine and will be sorely missed. GodSpeed and sincere and deepest condolences.  With respect and admiration,

We are saddened to hear about Niki’s passing. We have such fond memories of spending time with you guys. I especially remember our mission trip to Panama.  I did not know Nicky very long. We worked together about two years after I arrived at Medical Center of South Arkansas in March 2017. I quickly came to admire his kindness and his professionalism and his friendship. We would  often sit and talk at least two or three times per week about the job about patients and about life in general.  We became fast friends. I trusted him and he trusted me. We were very comfortable with each other and I will surely  miss him dearly.  Rest in peace my friend. I know you are in God’s warm embrace.  You made a difference .........

My family will forever be grateful  for your loving care of our Daddy. You were such a wonderful, caring man & doctor.  Thanks to you, we have had many more years with our daddy. James & Esther Rapp thought the world of you. Mom loved to bake banana nut bread & take it to you on their visits.  Our thoughts and prayers go out to your family. Heaven gained a wonderful man & loving, caring doctor. 

I met Nicky when we both attended Bradley Creek school, what a super guy always smiling . Then we attended NHHS together same ole Nicky, I thank God that our paths crossed. Prayers for Nancy Jo and family. At our class reunions Nicky would always wear that big smile and giving a hug,  God has indeed gained a angel . Loved by many.... missed by many more

My sympathies to all the family. Wildcat soccer teammates long ago.  Oh how we practiced those "scissors kicks:! Godspeed Nicky.

Thank you Nicky, for your constant encouragement, your wisdom, your humble nature & most of all, your friendship. You made me better. Better as a man and certainly better as a Christian. I know you would shrug that off but it is true old friend. You impacted me greatly and you will continue to do so.

Thinking of you Nancy Jo and all the family. I remember such fun times with you and "Shug" at Memorial Baptist. I can still hear my Dad saying, "Well now we will have to call him Dr.  Shug" after Nicky graduated. He thought so much of both of you. I know Daddy met Dr. Shug with open arms. Wish I could be there with you but I have just heard about Nicky's passing late tonight. Know I am there in spirit and will visit you soon when I am in Wilmington. Love you my dear friend! Many prayers being sent up for all of you.

Our thoughts and prayers for this family. Dr Pipkin saved my life in 2011. He was a good man and surgeon!  

Bert hired me and was the first boss I ever had, and a few years later I bowled in a league with Betty.  Nicky, LaRonda and Lanita were old friends of mine (and many others) decades ago when we were kids in Seagate. This is sad news and I'm so sorry for your loss. 

Lance and I are so saddened by this news. We both worked with Dr. Pipkin for years at MCSA and it was such a privilege. He impacted both of our lives personally and professionally as his nurses; entrusting us with the care of his patients. He was a brilliant surgeon;caring and compassionate and a true friend to both of us. He was a wonderful teacher and most of what we know about cardiac care he taught us. Our condolences to Nancy Jo and family. We love you and know without a shadow of a doubt that we will all see Nicky again in heaven one day.  He will truly be missed.

I am so saddened to hear of Nicky’s passing.  He was such a nice person with a beautiful smile.  The world has lost a wonderful person that shared his gifts.  He will be missed.  NHHS class of ‘75.

Prayers for Dr. Pipkin' s family.  I had the privilege of working with him at MCSA and he also performed surgery on my mom this past June.   He was such a kind man, great physician,  and I'm honored to have known him.

Very sad to hear.  Deepest sympathies to Nancy and family.  Fondly recall good times at NHHS, class of 1975.

Ten years ago Dr. Pipkin saved my life.  He was practicing  in El Dorado Arkansas when he stitched together the artificial aorta and valve to repair my aortic dissection.   He was truly a miracle worker and the world will sorely miss his amazing skills.  God bless his family. 

So sorry for your loss,  Dr Pipkin did my husbands heart surgery 2 years ago, he was a wonderful dr.  and a very caring person.  He was a great heart surgeon. He will be missed,.

Nancy Jo, so sorry to hear this news.  He was a kind, christian man and the time I worked with him are fond memories.


He was a very kind person. I am so grateful to have worked with him. I send wishes of peace to his wife and family.

So many wonderful memories made over the years. We started out as co-workers, then you became a friend & mentor, and ended up becoming family. I am so thankful God placed you & Mrs. Nancy Jo in our lives. You both have been a true blessing to me & my family. Through the years you  provided guidance, encouragement, support, & prayers & I hope you both know how grateful I am. You were a brilliant surgeon & it was an honor & pleasure to work beside you. You touched the lives of so many people, my own family included, & that will never be forgotten. Though my heart breaks that your time with us has been cut short, I know we'll see you again one day.  Until then, I'll cherish all the wonderful memories & hold them near & dear to my 💓.You will be missed. All my love to you and Mrs. NJ. 

well it sure going to be lonely  around this house in the next few days. now that your  gone. I 'm going to miss you alot. No body to pick on about basketball , games or that you never got that big  Ford truck I use to kid you about.                see you soon bud!Lots of love to you and yours
