He was born on April 2, 1956, in Cheyenne, Wyoming, and was preceded in death by his father, Howard E. Adkins and his mother, Roberta Collicott Adkins.
Mr. Adkins is survived by his wife, Cherry Dunks Adkins; sons, Robert Bybee and William Bybee; two daughters, Angela Skipper and Lacy Sholar; eleven grandchildren, Nathan, Maddison, Sage, Jessica, Jada, Elizabeth, Jaxon, Sarai, Jessie Mae, Cherry Annabella, and AJ (Anthony) Sholar; two sisters, Audrey Dickie of Florida and Joleen Lankford of Georgia. Also surviving are many nieces and nephews and numerous friends.
Perry was an honest, hardworking, and straight-forward man. He served his country in the United States Air Force.
The family will receive friends from 3-5 pm Saturday, November 18, 2017, at Andrews Hampstead Chapel.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 3:00 pm Sunday, November 19, 2017, at Grace 210, located at 180 NC-210 West, Hampstead, NC, 28443 (910-319-1801).
