Raymond Neal Owens, Sr. of Rocky Point died Monday, November 26, 2012 at his home. He was born in Marion, VA on December 26, 1930, the son of the late Robert L. and Mattie M. Owens. He was preceded in death by two sisters, Ruby Thompson and Bettie Phelps, and a brother R.L. Owens. Survivors include his children Raymond Neal Owens, Jr. and Cathy Fricke including seven grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren. He is also survived by sisters, Mary Dashnaw and Dorothy Smith and brother Albert Owens and many nieces and nephews. He is also survived by his faithful dog "Samantha". A funeral service will be held at 3pm Friday November 30, 2012 at Andrews Mortuary Hampstead Chapel by Rev. Elbert Bradshaw. The family will receive visitors one hour prior to the service.
