Russell Ray Knowles Jr.

He was born on April 21, 1942 in Washington NC, son of the late Dorothy Teel McGowan and Reverend Russell R Knowles Sr.

Russell was a graduate of East Carolina University and worked for Federal Paper Board for 31 years.

Russell was preceded in death by his wife, Jacqueline Jones Knowles, brother William Rodney Knowles, mother Dorothy T. McGowan and father Russell R. Knowles Sr.

He is survived by daughters Kristie Pomerance (Mike), Kerrie Kafes (George), stepdaughters Debbie Allen (Brian), Terri Bryant (Phillip), step mother Jaxie Carter Knowles, step sister Phyllis Shoe (Larry) and 6 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren.

Memorial Services will be held on Thursday, Jan 16, 2014 at 2:00 pm at Coble-Ward Smith Funeral Home, 3915 Oleander Drive, Wilmington, NC 28403 with Rev. Mark Murphy officiating.
