Steve was born in St. Paul, Minnesota. He was the son of the late Merle Carney and the late Lois Carney Karels. He was also preceded in death by brothers, Gary Carney and Dennis Carney.
Steve is survived by his wife Marlene; brother, Scott Carney (Alice) of Wilmington; son, Steven M. Carney (Rich Trout); daughter, Tracy Hesse; grandson, Ben Hesse and granddaughter, Lindsay Hesse of Minnesota.
Steve proudly served our country in the US Army from 1961 through 1964. He retired from American Crane Corp., Victaulic Corp. of America, and most recently the Lowe’s Home Improvement Store at Monkey Junction. His greatest love was golfing with his friends.
